When it comes to do WK there is no problem for me. I'm used to do it everyday and it's kind of easy because it's a "no brain" activity (SRS system power).

I opened Aiyoku no Eustia (because I had it downloaded and you listed it) and read for 10 minutes non-stop without having any problems understanding the majority of what was being said without any assistance. Day-to-day, it feels great, because I'm finally *free*. I always, like, I would see my friends going out and playing video games all day, and I'd think "how do they have the time to do that" as I finish my reps and study all night. Studying dominated my life. If I had a social life before hand, it surely would have been destroyed by obsession. I too have been studying for just about 2 years, and looking back, they're a haze of Anki and endless vocabulary. But now, I just do a little anki out of habit (and fear I suppose) and have a good time all day doing my hobbies. I can do other things if I want to, like play video games again, or watch youtube videos without feeling lazy. It's just good.
That said, I'm not native-level which is always a thorn in my side, I can enjoy all the compelling content I want to but if I say watch some old rakugo I completely lose track of what's going on if I shift my attention at all and it's hard to get back on. So I can't tell you what it's like to be fluent.

Alright, I don't think I get the difference between ごとに and おきに. Sometimes they mark the same interval ごとに = N and おきに = N but sometimes it can also be ごとに = N and おきに = N+1. Why?
Getting a job has absolutely destroyed my progress. Studying on the train is so distracting and I can't seem to bring myself to do it on the weekends at all so I'm always behind.

Anki should only take 10-30 some minutes for someone who's been studying as long as you. Dropping anki is not going to save you any time. It is of course possible to learn Japanese without Anki, or flashcards; consuming native content is ultimately the royal road of language and will always be a path to success. However, there are many things to consider that, ultimately, lead to Anki always being an incredibly valuable asset, and one that can be instrumental in successfully learning a language, particularly for people not living in the country of their target language.
1 - Anki allows you to expose yourself to targeted material and thereby quickly improve in certain areas. A kanji deck, for example, will teach you how to recognize more kanji far before Core6k or similarly styled vocabulary decks will. Similarly, for late-intermediates, Anki lets you target problem words and less common words must faster than you otherwise would. For example, if you struggle to remember the word 白を切る due to it's odd pronunciation, you could add it to anki and memorize it far sooner than you would if you waited for reading to naturally get you there. Therefore, even an ardent reader can still benefit from a little anki.
2 - This is the real killer - context. When reading we restrict ourselves to certain contexts. It's not uncommon for learners to shy away from reading newspapers or what have you due to how dry the material is and how difficult the vocabulary is. Therefore, it's possible for a language learner to completely avoid large portions of the language, and thereby drastically limit their potential. Anki helps circumvent this by teaching you words without forcing you to read the material they're found in. An example of this is prefectures - it takes a long time to pick up prefecture names just from reading, whereas it takes only an hour or two to have them all memorized in an anki deck.
3 - Anki ensures progress. If you do 20 new cards a day, you learn 20 new words a day without fail. It's possible to read for hours ignoring unknown content and therefore not progressing in terms of vocab.

Just keep hittin' them till it sticks. Often-times radicals will give clues but it's not consistent. There's really nothing you can do except grind them out. You can make it easier by reading furigana stuff / listening which will expose you to the readings without kanji but I imagine that's above your level. Outside of the example sentences, not really unless you want to jump into native content while constantly referring to a dictionary and not understanding a most of the grammar (depending how far into Tae Kim you are). If you mean reviewing Tae Kim grammar, I think we have a Tae Kim deck somewhere with the example sentences, but I'm not sure how worthwhile doing that would be.

Don't limit reviews (set it to 9999 even if there's no way you'll ever reach that). Beyond that it's mostly personal preference. Read up in the Anki manual to see what stuff does. Starting interval, interval modifier, and a lot of the other settings are largely personal preference.

If you're sure you want to set a blanket cap, "Maximum Interval" should work for that purpose if you want to set a cap of 3 months, but that means 3 months from now you'll get pummeled with a huge amount of reviews, so I'd recommend just toughing it out since you went 3 months longer than intended for those reviews anyways and probably won't have issues just hitting 7 months or however long it is.
If you mean just starting over completely with 0 learned cards (which I don't know why you'd want to do that and I'd advise against doing that), then you could just export the deck, uncheck scheduling information (export another WITH scheduling information in case you change your mind and want to recover the deck), delete the deck, then import the deck that you just exported without scheduling information. Again, I'd advise against doing this and to just tough it out and do the reviews you missed, even if it fucks up your mature stat.

Also, in general, how do you go about learning new vocabulary? Do you learn the pronunciation of the given vocabulary first then introduce the kanji once you know the word in hiragana? Or do you you make a flashcard (front/back) that has hiragana/english, kanji/english, or kanji/hiragana?
Also, what's the best thing I can do to practice grammar? Like, I sort of understand concepts like:

--> wanting to do with "-tai" endings.
--> wanting things with "ほしい"
--> particles, what seem like subtleties to me between "wa" and "ga", and using the particle "e" for direction.

Naturally, the time one takes in anki is pretty personal. It is my experience, and it is the experience I have noted it many others, that once they are fairly comfortable with kanji, that their speed shoots up. So when I said it "should" only take 10-30 minutes, I was thinking of that + the fact that if anki is taking 1+ hour it would be wise to scale back new cards to keep it around 30m (for someone such as yourself who is getting burned out).
For me, personally, if I don't remember a word within 5 seconds I fail it. This leads to struggling a little bit with memorizing unfamiliar kanji, so I give myself more time on those. It it my opinion that if you can't recognize a word within 5 seconds in anki, even you remember it eventually, you didn't remember it well enough that you wouldn't benefit from reviewing it more in anki. So that's how I keep times down. Do what you think is best for yourself, I am absolutely not saying my advice is the ultimate thing to do, I just don't want to see someone drop anki and suffer a lot from it, which is something I see occur often.

Learned "meanings" via a combo of the keywords, kanjidic meanings, and some example vocab. Learning readings through vocab. Learned handwriting from mnemonics (usually just used Koohii stories or my own stories, I didn't like most of Heisig's stories). Adding new kanji found in reading to my kanji production deck.

Generally just kanji on front with meaning, reading, audio, and example sentence (usually the sentence I mined it from) on the back. Try the DoJG deck in the OP. You might need to do some re-arranging of the card format to make it work well for you though (or delete one of the card types if you want to go through it faster). I guess you could try production on lang8 or with a skype language exchange too if you're interested in speaking in the near future, though most here are putting it off until they're at a high reading/listening level.

The difficulty isn't actually answering the questions. It's answering the questions under a harsh time limit in a stress situation.
A lot of JLPT is reading speed, endurance and being used to the test format.
That said, it's not easy just because it's multiple choice. Most answers seem plausible and stopping to think (or even worse, rereading the text) costs valuable time that you just don't have.

If you limit your interval to 100 days, worst case scenario, literally worst case with a deck of 40,000 cards all at interval limit, you'll still only get 400 reviews a day (40,000 mature cards, all at interval limit, 100 days, 400 a day). 1) Download the core 2k/6k. Delete the numbers (ichi, ni, etc). You should study those outside of anki because it's so easy to mix them up and it makes your reps take forever unless you have a good memory.
2) Download Genki, and read Tae Kim. Once you have a good grasp of grammar, consider the grammar anki deck in the OP
3) Can you tell kanji apart (visually) or does it all look like moonrune squiggles to you? If you can, do a radical deck, and then kanji. Do not use wanikani.
If you can't, chug through RTK as fast as you can, while you do a radical deck, then do kanji.
But where do I get these kanji, you ask? Reading. Download Rikisama, start reading. Every time you see a kanji you don't know, mouse over it, it'll give you definitions, hopefully you can pick the not retarded one from the context. Make an Anki card out of it. Keep adding.
Do all of these at the same time.

Should I learn 861 jinmeiyō kanji (name kanji) after the core 2136. Does it make much difference, or is it simpler to pick it up when I see them in text.
I mean according to testyourvocab.com I only know about 16k words in English and I can read pretty much anything, only with literature i need to look up some words.

There's probably an explanation for that.
It comes down to whether you want the savings of using more specific words (i.e. imbroglio
) instead of a combination of more well known words (extremely confused/complicated/embarassing situation).
If you want to be a dick to everybody else by forcing them to look up each niche word you feel like using, go ahead. Just know because you can't doesn't mean you should.
I have a feeling the same could be said about any language, basically cutting the fluff to commonly (read: exposed to) words. That survey at the end should give an idea as to why.

You're supposed to combine a deck with outside study? I said to use RTK and genki and Tae Kim.
You're missing out on the fact that
1) It teaches you radicals incorrectly, leading to confusion when and if you stop using it, either because you hit the end or because you realized its shit
2) It's scheduling system is worse in every way, doesn't even bother to try to break cards away from eachother. Hope you read kanji in real life in that order, because that's what your memory is being primed to do
3) Can't export scheduling data. Forcing your to start from square 1 when and if you leave wani
4) Less customization in every way.
5) Since wanikani doesn't let you add cards, it eventually ends, and you can't study more with the system, unlike anki which lets you study anything you want
6) Wanikani is far slower in order to bilk money from you
I could go on. tl;dr, anki is a swiss army knife, wanikani is a spoon with shit on it.

When you get right down to it, Anki is flashcards with an SRS system wrapping, and with many options for modifying both the cards and the SRS algorithm variables. That's it - it's really just plain flashcards, at the end of the day. And who in their right mind is going to try and say flashcards aren't effective memorization tools? All these debates about Anki vs Memrise vs Pimsleur vs Wanikani are all nonsense. They're all dressed up flash cards, and Anki is the only one that gives YOU all the tools to make them suit your own learning style. Anki wins, every time.

All those kanji in the bottom have water in them, anon. See the 3 dots on the left? That's from the water radical.
The radical won't always mean something, sometimes it's like the silent K in knight, but when it does mean something, it almost always if not always has something to do with water/fluid
汀 means water's edge
汁 means soup, juice, broth, pus
沺 means vast, surging waters.
Again though, not all are this obvious, I picked them because you can see the lines on the left, the water radical in use. Look at the alternative forms. The top in hiragana are readings.
