Can someone explain the hate against this show? I went in expecting shitty SAO/Attack On Titan quality based on /a/'s reaction to it but it was surprisingly good.

Decent action series that isn't completely in line with whatever version of it has a defined fanbase (aka the 25 people who've read the manga adaptation of the LN) say they don't like it and get echo chambered by shitposters and burnt out sour grapes ex-Naruto fans\/v/irgins who still can't get over not being welcome here after who knows how many months.
Rather than admitting the anime does anything well, or even watching it in the first place, they just call people posting about it shit-eating casuals and try to greentext and reaction image them out of threads because enjoying a 6/10 semi-popular show is an irredeemable sin.

My biggest problem with the show was it had so much cheese in it. The basic premise was ok then suddenly the MC is half robot super power mcgee fighting against generic mask badguy. Most of the fight scenes just made me cringe hard so i stopped watching. Rest of the show seemed ok but it tried a little too hard to be dark and edgy.

The whole show was so incredibly retarded, it started with a normal guy that only had a loli and a gun as his weapons, but by the end of the anime normal people were killing giant monster with the sheer power of martial arts.
The last episode in general was unbelievably stupid.

The show was inconsistent with its own universe.
It said things worked one way just to disregard it completely the next episode because MC had some kind of special power.
Just at the end of the first arc the show said his loli was almost becoming a monster just to never touch the subject again.
And about the lolis, oh the lolis, you like this one? Yeah, fuck you she dies.
Look at this one, it has cat ears, fucking cute isn't it? Sadly she dies next episode.
They kept killing the little things for absolutely no reason but shock value. You meet them one episode and they die the next one, there's no way you can really care about them.
Then, next to the end, suddenly everyone becomes a superhero for no apparent reason.
The show barely resembles what was seem the first episode, it's something completely different that scaled without no explanation.
It even ends with the girl going full edge and killing that guy for REVENGE and DARKNESS, it leaves you with a really bad taste.
I'm sure there are more shit in it I don't like, but it's been a while since I watched it and I certainly won't remember about it.

Black Bullet is one of the single worst anime I have watched in years. Characters do things for no reason, people randomly jump back and forth from being evil to not-evil with basically no repercussions, and they use character death as a substitute for terrible writing. The main character shoots and stabs people for disagreeing with him, yet at the very end the black-haired girl is portrayed as evil for killing that guy out of revenge instead of him when he abandoned his platoon to die, joined up with a mass murderer, usurped command of the army with no permission or reason, and stabbed one of the troops just for asking a reasonable question.
