Goddamn, why is Pripara so legit now?Fuwari was so pitiful and sympathetic when I saw her coughing weakly and unable to do anything but return to her homeland, and Hibiki even didn't expect her departure. I feel like the entire genius versus effort dichotomy takes on a new light when you keep seeing Mirei fail over and over again to beat the Princess team, and if you imagine the managers in Neko's bar being these old producers drinking their sorrows away about failing their previous idols it kind of makes you feel for them. This is good, and not just good for Pripara. Plus, when Ajimi showed up I thought it was just a random reference, but it seems she has some history with Hibiki too now. Maybe we'll find out she actually was very similar to Lala and the verbal tic crew in the past, but something happened to change her. That, and the emotional scenes with Shion and Sophie leaving were well done.
My prediction: Hibiki and the Princess team win, there's half a year of PR reruns, and then a new series that's a combination of both starts.

Without being a spoiler at all, right now all of PriPara boils down to two opposing factions: Lala, who's motto is "Everyone is friends, everyone's an idol!", and Hibiki with "Your shallow pretend 'friendship' is holding back the true beauty and perfection of idolhood". It's quite literally and intentionally Pripara vs Pretty Rhythm.

Pripara got a lot better in the first arc of second season when they were focusing on Aromaggedon, but then slumped into mediocrity again during the Fuwari arc. However, when Hibiki finally started puttingherplan into motion, things got infinitely better and more entertaining. All the threads of character development, however few there were, started to connect themselves, and it feels like everything has been a huge buildup for these two rival factions of genius versus effort. There were in fact very good arcs in S1. Gloria and Lala's mother, Sophie becoming independent from her squad, and at the very least the build up to Falulu. The ending kind of squandered it all by pretty much saying Lala isn't all that special and the McGuffin was pointless, but I feel like that specifically is coming back for this climax. My one problem that won't go away though is the lack of songs. I mean really, Falulu sang the same song again today. Sure it had different lyrics/was the second half, but it sounded exactly the same and with the same choreography.

Maybe I'm not 100% clear on how they work, but WM's dresses had the top and bottom as a single piece with a power level (don't know its official definition) of 900, while the boots were in the 400-500 range. 2wingS' dresses had separate tops and bottoms, each in the 700 range along with the boots. I feel like that last duel should have been in the tournament. Yes he wouldn't have achieved his dream otherwise but it was so convenient that Hajime didn't draw the nexus he had since India, and he also didn't use the life recovery efficiently. I'm sour that we didn't get to see the Arata-Hajime duel.
