I never followed this show so maybe I'm missing something, but this just looks like an obvious joke/parody/homage/whatever, rather than just stealing the art due to a lack of creativity and trying to take credit for it

As far as I concerned, Witch Craft Works' music is done by TECHNOBOYS PULCRAFT GREEN-FUND. And they took Kraftwerk as a heavy influence, just like Yellow Magic Orchestra. So yeah, this happened.
I just want to know if there's any other cases like these covers. Any comparison would be nice.
