Watched episode one, and I had to make an effort to finish it. It was more annoying than cute and the comedy is almost non existent.
I think it's thought as a FOTM moeblob to sell merchandising, but I don't think it's working that well, I was in Akiba last week and they didn't have much Umaru merchandising.

This was the first series I was gonna watch after AoT ended. Ive been reading manga but didnt watch any anime.There was almost a gear long gap so I wanted to start with whatever seemed most popular and this was it. I watched the first episode but it honestly felt too childish for me. I didn't like the characters, the comedy, their mannerisms, and especially her.
Its weird since Ive never felt that before but I guess its just not my taste. I've never dropped any anime completely at all until this one.

I had read the manga previously and tried out the first episode and the annoying as shit voice completely butchered the character for me. While reading it I just saw a moeblob doing obnoxious stuff but with sound it was way worse than I imagined. The show makes a really good case for what a massive shithead she is. Plus the constant memes and shit with umaru turned me away from watching it.

I watched it out of morbid curiosity.
I got some genuine laughs out of it and it had a few likable characters like bomber, so its better than most current shitty sol series' coming out of Japan.
