I just finished this series and thought it was a bretty good action show
only problems were the fact that it was sometimes hard to follow and that it's plot was jumbeled, but the overall product was very good

it was entertaining and if nothing else I'm happy that it brought me the Hamburger episode because that shit is one of my favorite anime episodes ever now.
The show that saved BONES

Terrible shit show, Im glad they decided to kill it with one cour and all the shoehorned original content. Shit fanbase too.

I don't think it delivered that much on the action front aside from that one yutapon sequence, but honestly I prefer it that way because I've gotten pretty tired of battle shounen, and I liked this as a series overall. If it had stayed purely episodic it might have even made it into my top 10. The plot only dragged it down but at least it was mostly kept to the last 2 episodes.
I don't understand why they changed the ending for episode 1 in the BD. Putting Bump of Chicken during the Eyes of the God "reveal" was amazing and they just delayed the song for the ending. It was so much better in the broadcast version.

I was pretty good yeah.
It got me back into jazz music, so there's that.
The reception for this is always so perplexing

I don't know whether I should be happy with the finale or not. On one hand the length was really satisfying, and it wrapped everything up nicely but somehow the journey from the beginning to the end was so jumbled and could have been so much better, which really sucks.
If the last episode was just done a little bit better so that it was less of a mess, it would have been one of the greatest episodes of all time from the novelty of having a satisfying hour long conclusion alone. But alas, it wasn't to be.

That was Hibike, who was more consistent. Kekkai was very good tho.
