Why hasn't there been a serious Godzilla monster-of-the-week anime yet?
Not that I even personally want one, I'm genuinely confused how one wasn't even brought up to Toho.
What does Godzilla have to gain from being animated?
They had american one.

Nothing really, I was just saying considering how big of a franchise it is in Japan, I'm surprised it wasn't even considered.
>>134603725
Not counting that one. That's ZILLA, not GODZILLA
>>134603726
It probably has been considered though
>>134603748
Not Zilla, that's Godzilla
>>134603899
There was an American cartoon on FoxKids, featuring the first American incarnation of Godzilla (Zilla).
I forgot about the Hanna-Barbara one. Though that's not an anime.
I guess the closest thing is Godzilland. And I guess there was that show with the toys.
Really I'd think the reason is that stuff like Ultraman already sort of filled that niche.

That actually wasn't bad.
Because making of monster-of-the-week anime about symbol of nuclear holocost is not wise idea.

Only as far as the monster of the week format and even then the original Ultraman is pretty different from what people usually think of as MotW.
Judging by Japan's current output you would have to wait for something like this.
G A I G A N

Would you except Israel to make an anime about the holocaust? No.
Godzilla rips Japan apart when he wants just because he can, the last thing they're going to do his make an anime glorifying him.
>>134612819
japan already glorifies him by making godzilla a citizen
>>134603544Soon.
>>134603544
It will be something like robot girls z
>>134603544Anno is working on it.
