basically with the Dainsleif transformation obsoleting berserker Hibiki, they killed off the chance for some great moments in S4. I might be biased on this topic because i wasn't really getting why people loved symphogear when i was watching the first episode, then i see this.
couple that with the fact that there was no unique noise like in S1 and to a lesser extent S2. Then we have Topdad, which is more of admitting defeat since they can't find anymore emotional issues for Hibiki to develop and grow.

I agree for the most part, but considering how hard they dropped the ball with all that potential it really kills it. They completely blew 7 episodes and ruined the end completely.
Space shuttle was probably the hypest into so far, but it was straight downhill from there with a slight bump with GENOCIDE.
Other than the space shuttle though I'd say even the first 6 were pretty subpar.

They kinda needed to obsolete it since the gungnir pieces in her heart disappeared in S2 after the Mikubeam. I think the dainsleif was a good thing, since the whole swan thing also got a little more "not so powerful now".
True about the noises and also Topdad, really feels like all the girls trauma have already been resolved so that they can't get anymore development (Hibiki's dad, Tsubasa and Kanade, Chris and her past, Maria and her sister), all that is left is Kirika and Shirabe, but I don't see anything HAPPENING there.
I think S2 kinda was needed because, well, fucking moon chipped apart, S3 for Hibiki past (kinda). I'm really hoping for S4, but I'm kinda sad that I can't see anything more they can develop at this point. Unless >new characters, and we all know how well it went with Mariashit.

I'd say it was needed (to an extent) but it could have been integrated better rather than shoving it in your face and having a full on narrative about how they're better people now for overcoming it.
We knew tsubasa and hibiki had family issues that they had to address some time or another. We knew chris was a disgrace of a senpai. So there had to be some way of getting it out of the way. They did it in an absolutely horrible manner, but they did have to address it somehow in the overall scheme of things.

You're probably holding the previous two seasons to too high a standard. Symphogear was never 100% hype. The difference is that for the previous seasons, the hype was all concentrated at the end, whereas in GX, they tried make the ride last the whole season, but failed pretty hard towards the end.
Yeah, they set far too high a bar for themselves with the space shuttle, but can you honestly say that pic related wasn't hype as fuck?

Episodes 1-6 of GX were good and the season had more KiriShira which was also great. For the first half of GX I legitimately had a hard time waiting for a new episode every Friday. Everything after 6 though really was bad for the most part. They can do a lot better and I really hope they do for the next season. The doll killing episodes were just rushed and simply not good. Also, nobody wanted to see Hibiki angst around the whole season. I don't mind character development but the way the handled her past family issues wasn't done well at all.
Only doll killing episode I liked was the KiriShira one for the yuri. It still was a letdown of a fight though.

The main problem was that they resolved the problems in 7 through 10 each in the same episode, which made things far too rushed. If they'd interspersed the conflicts and resolutions over several episodes, it'd feel far better paced.
Maria vs. Garie was meh because there was literally nothing else in the episode, so Garie basically appeared, wrecked everyone, and disappeared only to appear again RIGHT FUCKING AFTER.
DMJii vs. Micha needed to replace all the Hibiki angst with a Micha transformation sequence.
Phara vs. Tsubasa was awesome. I dunno what you're on about.
