Pretty much, it's kind of important to know the characters and the relations between them and the movie doesn't go out of its way to introduce those to you. You don't have to watch the whole series to understand it. I'd say the minimal option is this. First watch the first couple of episodes. Then If you don't feel like watching a lot more then go on the wiki page with the UY episodes and search for the word "introduce", it will tell you all the episodes in which an important character appears for the first time. Or just check the mal or the wiki for the main cast and type the names of the characters to see when they appear the first time.
However it might turn out that you'll like it and then you should just watch it around ep 60 (bakabt should tell you exactly) because that's when the film aired.

Wakfu isn't on there. You might be talking about The Maxx (blonde girl?) which imo is the best thing to come out of western tv animation. Only cartoon I can really put on par with some of the better anime series or tv shows. It's actually based on a comic which is also on the mid tale in my comic book 3x3. Though it's not a full adaptation (avoids some of the really good parts but also some of the much weaker ones because of that).
I don't spend that much time on /co/ and I don't know too many people personally who have watched Steven Universe, so I don't really know what others say about it. Obviously if I put in on there I would consider it worth watching. Based on your chart I think you would too especially considering some of the titles on your chart (Eva, Aria, Tutu and what I know about RoV). I really love the background art and the character designs of the Gems, the characters are really diverse and it's entertaining to see them interacting it with each other. The lore is are also great with the mysteries surrounding and the main narrative being unraveled at a much more faster and consistent pace than AT for example. Genre-wise it's a mix of mahou shoujo with sci-fi, really creative and original from what I've seen. You can see it took lots of inspiration from anime, Utena and Eva in particular. Some scenes being pretty obvious references to those series (if you've seen them of course).
Only thing I really disliked about it was the humor, at least at first. It's seemed kind of forced to me most of the time, which bothered me at the beginning...

Right now it doesn't, I think they started putting a bit less focus on it and what's left is much better (gave me a couple of good laughs), which was a step in the right direction.

Personally I prefer animation overall as a medium. But to me it's strength is in to what lengts it can go with the art. Animation by it's nature has to have a lot simpler design because there's more focus on motion and fluidity. So you have manga or comic books like the works of Enki Bilal, Tsutomu Nihei and Inio which have detailed artsyles which couldn't be fully translated into animation because of how detailed they are. On top of that there is also lots of worthwile reading manga that wasn't adapted into anime and even more so with western comic books.

No. It is actually one of the biggest trainwrecks I've ever seen in an anime. It is like a worse version of Code Geass. And if you even treat it with a bit of serious critique you'll drop the series like me, but if you like something that is so bad it becomes laughable it is one of those anime.
Not as good as Ghost Stories or any film that is so bad it is laughable like The Room, Trolls 2, and such.
But it is worth it if you watch it with a group of friends and laugh at it.

For me. Psycheward movies are some of my all time favorites.Because I actually been in oneand I would recommend Persona from Ingmar Bergman. Though it is a far more focused film only comprising of 2 to 3 characters. But it is my personal all time favorite film, because it highly resonated to me and I've been in a situation where I was having an identity crisis and paranoia.
It has the perfect balance of imagery and dialogue. That it surprised me it was made by Bergman at all. Since before hand Seventh Seal was one of my all time favorites.

The movie is about not living in the past, noticing people and things around you and moving on. The beginning of the movie shows a horribly slow connection between the boy and the girl. Both go to extreme length to show that they can be together when they both know it should be over. While you're bored out of your mind, you feel the exact same dread the characters are suffering through.
The second part, with the surfer girl, shows that she's interesting, has hobbies and is interested in the guy. Yet he doesn't notice. He looks at the sky, seeing rockets take off yet he's grounded.
The third part is him realizing that all that accumulated anguish has left him empty and he breaks down. In the end, he sees metaphorically the girl he loves, where he used to see her. And when the train passes, he finally breaks the bond and is free.And he hooks up with the surfer girl.
It's a nice movie, boring, but it hit deep for me.
What made the movie for me was the flashback montage. It was very well done. Full of emotion, regret, longing and desire.

Yes. I agree. It's what makes Aria and Yokohama Kaidashi Kiko and Ai-ren so wonderful to me. Experiencing the beauty of the mundane as life itself crumbles around you yet finding joy in it.
The difference is that 5cm/per sec is more about people not noticing the beauty.
SoL is more about idealizing mundanity in my opinion.
