It's creative but you can tell Ikuhara had to make sacrifices along the way. Messy visuals and a compromised narrative. Still, it's got a lot more going for it than your average show, definitely worth a watch. "A" for effort.

I liked it, but I definitely wouldn't say it was the best this year. It did look nice, but it felt like it needed more than one cour. Hopefully S2 has enough time to wrap up the loose ends from S1, since I doubt the novels will ever get translated.

I'm just not feeling it like I did the first season. I promised one anon I'd at least make it through to episode 6, and am half way through episode 5, but man, I did not clear space on my hard drive to watch school girls clean a pool.
It's still way better than Hidamari Sketch, and anything else on this year's bad time list, if it's any consolation. Hell, the only reason Umaru got a pass was because of TSF.

Nah, man you're not the only one to hate that piece of shit series. I'll never get what anyone enjoyed out of that show. It was the animu equivelant of those hyper cute "snoomey snookey bear" romances where you want to see both people tossed under a bus. I hate how they never got past the eating snacks arc. Everything was snacks and they kept suna kept being a third wheel because they were too autistic to do anything together themselves.
I HATE how they kept pounding in your head this theme of Red oni and Blue oni yet failing to actually CAPTURE that theme. I got that Takeo was the red oni but what the fuck did Suna do at all that made him blue? He sacrificed nothing, unless he's the one who started that one fire or made that one pillar fall it made no sense.
I hate how we had all these ridiculous events happening to Takeo in the first place to force yamato's attraction toward's Takeo.

There is no denying that the first two episodes were way beyond the quality of the show afterwards, but I still really enjoyed the rest.
Winter:
Favorites:
Death Parade was above average.
Psycho-Pass movie was O.K.
Spring:
Arslan was my favorite despite Liden being a colossal failure of a studio.
Ninja Slayer was far better than I had expected.
Hibike, and Kekkai were very good.
Yahari was really the single biggest disappointment I faced of the season and quite frankly this year.
Summer:
Gangsta was underwhelming, though there was a goodish reason at least. RIP in pieces Manglobe.
Ranpo Kitan failed horribly as a mystery, but had creative directing, and an ok plot.
Overlord fulfilled my inner chuuni.
Akagami was nice and comfy, looking forward to S2.
Illya failed to keep my attention as they spent a lot time on fanservice filler.
Chaos Dragon was an abomination and clusterfuck of a story.
Special mention goes to Funi this season for fucking up every other episode they broadcast.
Fall:
K-Return of Kings is the show I look foward to watching every weekend.
OPM succeeds in getting me to laugh, a rare occurance.
Young Black Jack is starting to go off the railsand I like it.
Sakurako-san is a nice weekly mystery.
I watched the first episodes of Subete and realized that it was a show that I would prefer slightly above average subs for, and have all the episodes on hand so that I could look through and spot all the details and intersecting arcs.
