There are some great episodes like the burger one and the episode 11 but there are a few boring episodes as well and the ending was pretty shitty. Soundtrack is god tier tho.
It was BONES doing what BONES does best. Solid premise, solid introduction, great soundtrack, great OP and ED, great visual direction in general, great episodic format balancing comedy and action, abysmal conclusion.
It was the entire studio in a nutshell.

Alright you explain it then cause while I think anime fandom is at large full of idiots this one isn't on them that I can tell. It just completely lost me in a sea of what felt like cryptic nonsense after the pretty fun inter-dimensional boxing ring episode. I just had no idea what the ever loving fuck was going on. Like I did mostly like the show up until about the halfway point but just the impenetrable storyline kind of ruined it for me. I don't think it's that the people watching anime are retarded so much these days as the people writing for it have no idea how to just tell or pace a goddamn story. Bones series suffer from this sort of thing a lot of the time, I mean just look at Concrete Revolutio this season. Add on Rie Matsumoto whose had a habit with this sort of thing before and it's like crossing the streams practically. IMO that's what happened. Great visual director, absolutely horrendous storyteller. Anime scene needs help but considering this sort of thing seems to lead to major success and high disc sales maybe it doesn't and it's a matter of the anime fans being idiots thing you mentioned.

It was good. One of the few decent shows that stands out among the myriad of shows that come out each season.
I wanted to like it, but the underlying plot was spread too thin, and I wasn't a big fan of the episodic stuff that took up most of it. I felt like sometimes it prioritized wackiness too much.

OP here, just finished episode 6. So far it''s definitely meh tier but the visuals are stunning. 5.5/10 so far.
