So for the people who read the raws - did the Yuujiro vs Musashi fight happen yet? Someone mentioned it was happening in the raws a while back, and OP's pic suggests that it has yet to happen. If so, what was the result?

Once you reach the point that the translations stop for the first series, download the anime. It covers the entirety of the first series, which is actually pretty convenient because it burns through a fuckton of fights and material that you don't need to care about in the Maximum Tournament. After that, you go to New Grappler, then Son of Ogre, then Dou.

Unrelated question: has the technique Kaku Kaiou used right before the end of his fight against Yuujiro yet to be elaborated upon? He made Yuujiro bleed like fuck, and Retsu didn't even understand or know what it was. Then later, Kaku knew that Retsu had an extremely high chance of dying in his fight against Musashi and taught him extremely high-level techniques in order to win the fight, but didn't even teach him that specific one. Do you guys think it is something that will come up again, or no? Pic obviously related.

Oh, and for some dumb fucking reason, the anime does the flashback first before going to the beginning of the first series. So skipping the childhood arc episodes you've already read and skipping the fights at the beginning of the series, you end up shaving off like ten episodes from the first season.

The end of Son of Ogre changed the world, essentially. Everyone is bored with life in general because nothing can match up to what they saw on that night. With the advent of Pickle and Musashi, Baki (and presumably Yuujiro) has realized that now is the time that the strongest fighter in human history is to be determined. After Musashi is beaten, we're likely to have other ludicrously powerful historical figures - a high hope for me would be to see Pier Gerlofs Donia.
