It's just a deduction that seemed likely and is by no means assuredly correct. I just thought of it this way: What kind of person would stick around /a/ posting in a Haruhi thread long after the show is over? What kind of person would like Haruhi? What kind of person would like Yuki? Are any of them likely to change their opinions, and if so, which way? Yuki just seemed like the natural result from what I know of /a/'s population.

Actually, I disagree. Haruhi would make a great mother. She is fundamentally a good girl at heart. She's not always nice but she does care about those closest to her a lot. At the same time, she has a very clear view of reality and it's problems, which she holds on to despite the fact that she would rather have a more interesting life.

Come now. Original Yuki is the best and spin-off Yuki isn't the same character, but Disappearance Yuki was a part of Original Yuki, representing the person she wished she could be: normal and at Kyon's side. Dissing her is like dissing Original Yuki.
