No. And we didn't even get to go all out in that direction. I was really waiting for the giant alien life fiber to turn into a humanoid thing, to spur more of Ryuuko's angsty I'M JUST A LIFE FIBER MONSTER, and then the elite four and Satsuki fight it in their giant school robot using the Nudist Beach blade boat as basically a giant scissor blade, but we got something much lamer.
And then they only busted out the giant robot with sword ship in the epilogue episode.
