The music was amazing. Not only the OP/ED's, but the whole OST. Probably one of the best OST's out there. Fun reading about how the music was made too. Made up for the fact that the storyline was somewhat shitty.
Imo, Rei is less "girly." It makes her unique and individualized, in a way. Inori, on the other hand, is just "too perfect" of a character. The pink hair, the >being a famous singer that everybody wants to bone, ect. You can't watch her without seeing straight through the wish fulfillment purpose she exists to fill.

The only "initiative" this soulless otaku fucktoy can be said to have shown so far, istricking Gai into spilling his guts to Shu. If you consider that character development, I guess I can't argue with you. But to my eyes, she's more just serving, there, as a plot device to further Gai and Shu's relationship (which as been one of the sparse few good c.development scenes in the series so far)
You could also argue that hertaking a suicidal risk by jumping off a building to somehow(?) helpShu, earlier in the series, was character development. But to me, again, this is just more pandering. She has no reason to have passionate, more-valuable-than-life feelings for that shitty, emotionally dysfunctional and self-destructive loser.

Guilty Crown is easily one of the worst shows that I watched end to end. Main girl used good slut, fuckin MC is shinji goddamn ikari, the rest of it was like some fuckin by the numbers scifi shonen cliche. I mean, everything doesn't have to be original, that's ok, but like goddamn, it's almost like they did a "DECONSTRUCTION" of the genre to highlight all the absolute worst aspects of the stock characters, events, etc...
This is not something I "was enjoying" and then "hated when it finished", no, I started watching this, and by like halfway through the first episode, I was like this is generic shit. And like at some point in ep 2 or 3, I was like, I may have been wrong, this is not just bad, this profoundly bad, as in train crash/can't look away bad. Like a bunch of those really really shitty Nicholas Cage movies (Left Behind, Rage, ghost rider, etc...) that you just can't stop watching once you start.
