ITT: Characters that did nothing wrong
>inb4
All he did was try to take out the trash
>>134521551
Kaiji was stupid for trusting a fatass.
>>134521616
She made it worth watching so whether she's wrong or not doesn't matter to me.
>>134521551
Elaborate.
>>134522254
memory is hazy but the mc of the show basically trusted pic related with items equivalent to that of ransom money and instead of saving mc he traded the items for cash instead and screwed over MC
wait you havent see kaiji wut the fuck you doing go watch kaiji
>>134522505
I have finals week to deal with okay? Also, I know what this series is. My memory was a little hazy too.
Obligatory
>>134521795
this desu
>>134521795
Bishamon was a dumb cunt, but she didn't deserve that, neither her regalias
>>134521551
No, fuck you, OP. Ando did everything wrong and he should have died.
>>134523501
Gee I wonder who could be behind this post
>>134521551
>calling a shitty plot device a character
He had no fucking characterization other than what was demanded by the plot at the time.
>>134524423
We didn't know much about the dude, but it wasn't really that hard to buy that he'd screw over Kaiji. He probably had his own legitimate reasons to have the money that could've been spent on bailing him out.
>>134524570
Yes but that's my point.
It would not have surprised me if he didn't screw Kaiji over.
It did not surprise me that he did.
He had no clear motivation and characterization, he just did what the plot dictated him to do.
>>134524660
But that showcased the situation very well. Kaiji did not know the guy, he had no reasons to trust the guy, yet he trusted his life to him, which is shown as a dumb decision.
>>134525378
Okay sure, but that's characterizing Kaiji.
Ando is still just a plot device.
>>134525489
Kaiji is always a bit of a lopsided show when it comes to characterization. It basically forgoes adding much dimension to the rest of the cast in favor of simply focusing on Kaiji and his ordeals. It works well though desu. Just proof of how one character can carry a series on his back.
>>134525658
I didn't think so.
I also found the narration style and pacing to be unbearable.
>>134525699
Not really much to say then if our views on the series are so diametrically opposed.
>>134526004
>>134525699
>and pacing to be unbearable
The only time the pacing got to me was watching the fucking Bog weekly
>>134526782
It was midway through the second arc when I was watching grown men cry while clutching poles while the narrator descended into tangentially related aspects of the human condition, with painstakingly draw out visuals, for what seemed like the third hour straight that I decided I fucking hate it.
I never watched anything pas the first season and haven't even got to pic related.
>>134524423
He was a coward, plain and simple.
every thread
>>134521551
>getting in hopeless debt
>boarding a shady boat to gamble your way out of it
There's two things he did extremely wrong.
