If you guys enjoyed SamFlam, I recommend watching Kurata's Brigadoon (and also done by the studio that became Manglobe).

SamFlam was the last anime I truly enjoyed.
I feel bad for the people who didn't watch this while it was airing. There are just a few shows where watching them with /a/ takes the show from a 10/10 to a 20/10 and this was one of them. Trying to guess what would happen next with other anons after the triweekly shitstorms subsided was genuinely enjoyable.

I was kind of dropping it off and on because my interest in anime waned at the time and I remember downloading this episode because of the threads and I was so confused by the credits song. In it, Mari is singing on stage alone but weakly, and I wasn't exactly sure what the director/writers were going for. Feel sad for mari, that she wasn't much of a hero? Then why have her still perform? Or was it supposed to be heroic, because she went on after all that?
Or was it supposed to be cruely funny because she acted all overconfident before that?
I can only imagine it was the sad part, I keep telling myself I'll watch it after I cut down on my backlog but you know how that goes.

I felt bad for her because for me it seemed like she was trying to keep some of her pride after getting BTFO by King Torture's speech and Moe's sacrifice, she was made feel like a coward as a hero so she decided to put on a brave face and perform even though she was broken both emotionally and physically.
Don't really think it was heroic because like pretty much everything Mari did she did it only for herself, to not feel like such a failure. Her actual comeback in a posterior episode is pretty good though
