I don't think you need to be flawless to be best girl. Just to be the best match for MC. She and Araragi could communicate better, but everything else is great.
And who knows, maybe they communicate fine, the time when they kind of go behind each other's backs to solve the Snake-God case turned out fine in the end, and it was clear they trust each other. But to me they could have been on the same page and working it together and avoided Araragi getting wrecked a couple times.
