The story goes that Four's original VA Saeko Shimazu was available to play the role again but was never consulted and the sound director Sadayoshi Fujino went straight to Yukana Nogami for it who he was supposedly in a relationship with and when Shimizu popped the question as to what happened and 2ch caught wind they went fucking ballistic and the fallout was so bad that Yukana had to lay low for a while and ended up dropping the Nogami family name as some sort of personal shaming thing. Bandai seems to go through these scandals surprisingly often though with employees and seiyuu under contract. It happened to Aya Hirano when she was at Lantis and it happened with Hideo Baba and Mikako Komatsu as well over Tales of Zestiria just this year.

Nah getting someone else's role because you're fucking the producer and -literally everybody knows- is way worse than just being aggressively marketed.
Like Fa being recast because her VA only worked for like 3 years in the 80s is one thing, and Rosamia's had been retired for years too, but Four's was working (on a Sunrise show no less) right up until then.
