The overuse of CGI obscuring the hand-drawn animation was bad but acceptable. The real letdown was that at every fight and climax, there was no music to convey it. Even for non-fight scenes that should have had some heavy music to set the mood, i.e. Tohsaka contracting with Saber, there's either weak music or silence in the background. This is criminal when compared with Fate/zero musical execution or even DEEN/stay night, which had better music than F/sn UBW.
