I watched it as it aired and I love it.
I think it's very good show, but while I watched it week by week I got a little bored and put it on hold.
I picked it up a while after it ended, and binge watched the remaining episodes.
It's imho one of those shows that should be marathoned.

The ending of Hyouka was the beginning of Oreki and Chitanda's relationship. I liked the ending but it's not the end of the story.

I wasn't disappointed by the lack of a confession, I was disappointed by the lack of character interaction. Sure, there was some cool symbolism going on, but at the end of the day nearly half of the episode is just Oreki sitting in a room talking to some assholes he doesn't know or care about, over an issue that is both extremely arcane and of basically no circumstance when all is said and done.
In my opinion, episode 21 serves as a much better emotional climax for the story and manages to both show more about how far all of the characters have come since the beginning and have a mystery that actually has to do with the characters.

I'm a little over halfway through, and I would have to say the whole anime is pretty boring so far.

When I watched this years ago, I stopped at episode 20.
I didnt want to watch the last two episodes, not because of the standard bullshit "I skip the last episodes because I dont want it to end" you see every now and then but because I was pleased.
I didnt require an ending, as I enjoyed the ride enough to not see what I would only consider a dissapointing Kyoani ending.
After reading the original copypasta explanation allready posted in this thread months after completing it, Im glad I skipped the final episodes.

Why aren't high schoolers allowed to have mottos? If anything they're probably the demographic that thinks about their own personality in relation to other people the most considering puberty.
I long for the day when we reach a compromise between the masterpiece proclaimers and the people who pirate their melatonin. It's an above average story that's lacking in many regards, and that doesn't detract from how perfectly animated and directed it is. Takemoto made this the best possible show it could have been considering the source material he was given.

The ridiculous miracle deductions undermine Satoshi's jealousy of such implausible skillz.
