They will probably cut the fifth case. As you said it's way too long and JFA kind of retcons it. We wouldn't really miss anything anyway if they are only adapting the OG trilogy.
Maybe if the anime is successful they will make an OVA of 1-5 but i would probably prefer something else unless they plan to adapt AAI or AJ.

2nd cases are neccessary cause they introduce the new prosecutors.
First case for T&T is a must due to Dahlia.
