What is your personal favourite anime and why? No wrong answers, and you can differentiate manga and anime if you wish.
My answer is pic related. I can't think of any other anime that has made me cry laughing, cry actual tears, and feel a profound sense of connection to the characters (inb4 faggot).

I for one simply adore Puella Magi Madoka Magica! The rich themes, intense dark twists and simply glorious deconstruction of the "mahou shoujo" (magical girl) genre are simply sublime, and have earned it a perfect "10" on my myanimelist.net profile (link below).

Maybe my favorite anime is Monster but I'm not sure because FMA BH is too much good, NHK is a good pick too.
