You made me go back and lookup the episodes. Silver does nothing of significance except meddle in Pink and Orange's plans. MC actually calls her out on her horrible personality for the finale. No character development besides being an asshole. The rest of the girls are also shit (lets be honest, the show as a whole is basically fitting the top 5 harem tropes into 13 episodes so is shit as well) but at least have a good backstory and some moments of clarity throughout the series, especially Orange.

Orange whining was so much better than Silver's apathetic character throughout the series. At least Orange starts as the center of MC's world and then has to fight back after getting pushed out by Silver. Silver basically stays the same and only acts as an obstacle for Orange to overcome. That's my biggest gripe of Silver, she shows no development or motivation at all. She's the type of character to have a breakdown at the end of the series and say "I liked you all along but couldn't express myself" because of some bullshit and wins at the end. Total cop out.

But the terminology of further exploring the meaning behind colors, white = everything / black = nothing / red = love / etc; has nothing to do when defining the actual color itself.

Foreshadowing is a basic but essential narrative writing tool, nigga. What the hell are you on? If foreshadowing doesn't exists, a lot of things would seem like sudden, convenient, or just asspulled. Yukino acts and behaves in such a way that makes it near impossible to tell what her issue is without a character hinting and pointing readers in the right direction that lets people speculate and make theories, which is half the fun for Yahari.

If you've read Catcher in The Rye, everyone is an antagonist to Holden, because he treats them all as the enemy. That's exactly what the MC does to Silver, treats her as an obstacle, an enemy, a threat. I'm not saying she's not a major character, she's THE antagonist, the second most important character in the whole show. She's not a heroine (read: someone is typically identified with good qualities, and with whom the reader is expected to sympathize) until the very end when we find out she's only been shitty due to a bullshit plot. The worst part about making her a heroine is all her character development of being a stone cold badass bitch comes crumbling down and she's basically Orange with mental problems and no history with the MC.

They're hardly rare. There are many similarly written ones like Taiga, Ayano, Emi, Sena, even Kirino, and a bunch more that a transition that's believable and with substance. MCs who puts in considerable efforts/accomplishments (besides being just nice) to bond with and crack away the tsundere's outer shell, which in turns have the tsundere come appreciate the MC and eventually have conflicted feelings before going dere.
