I made an error with Chapter 29. I suggested romanizing Vassily Trucachev's name as Vassily Tolkachev, on the basis that Trucachev was likely a mis-romanization on the part of the author. While it is a mis-romanization, the actual name should be Vassily Trukhachev.

About that, the numbering in the tankobon and the magazine are different. At the end of the volume 08, we will be at the half of the chapter 39 of the magazine RAW but it's the chapter 35 in the Tankobon/Printed version.

We've only been briefly shown what an injury does to a dancer, Chinatsu getting hit with a career ending injury isn't unlikely if the end plan is him ending up with Shizaku. Chinatsu can still be his actual girl. I wouldn't mind a manga where first girl doesn't win, and is only there for show.

I wasn't really basing them breaking up off that picture, it just felt that maybe her arc was coming to an end. I wouldn't like for this to be a manga where he cycles through partners but it would be interesting. It'd cast a wider net for the audience too since he can have a partner for every type of reader.
I'm kind of viewing this as a sports manga and the later chapters will be Chinatsu and Tatara facing various couples
