It wasn't until after bleach that I really started branching out into the anime world. Of course I had seen other things such as Samurai Champloo and Eureka 7 on Adult Swim. But it was watching Bleach that made me venture out into watching real, subbed anime.

I used to like Bleach, but then Soul Society started and everything went to shit and was painful to watch. I mean, the premise sounded so damn cool, but it ended up being really fucking dumb. Same goes for Naruto and the Chunin exams; everything up to the end of the exams was fine, but borderline wizard shit. Then it went full wizard shit with no real sense of ninjas anymore beyond kunai being thrown and the fact that they call themselves ninja. One Piece had me hooked up to before Crocodile showed up. I just kind of stopped watching it since the Grand Line just never seemed to show up. I know One Piece actually got good, but the other two I know are shit. God tier soundtracks though.

Sailor Moon is a weird edge case for me, as while it was one of the first shows I watched that distinctly was anime which stood out, it didn't yet push me on to seek out more anime and trying to follow it mostly disappointed me. Going back to it as an adult though, it absolutely is my favourite and forms the core of me obsession now that I can watch it properly.
