You just don't understand.
The title of the show is "Everything becomes F", right?
If you look at a computer keyboard, you will see that "F" key has that thingy that helps you to find while touch typing. I'm assuming regular QWERTY layout of course.
The other key that has the same thingy is J.
J.

Researchers need to party too. And they can only leave the island by taking the boat.

So if they wanted to have a chill time with drinks and music outside the lab they would have to take the boat, have a party on the mainland then wait 24 hours or more to be able to get back on the island again.
They have contracts with NASA, they clearly have enough money to have their own entertainment facilities on site, kinda like Google.

That may sound weird but for me the anime looks like it pretty realistically and naturally shows interactions between characters and the progression of the plot without turning to usual anime shenanigans. Might be the case of the source material but I think it's adapted well.

Ostriches sounds like Osterreich which is German for Austria.
Hitler was Austrian.
It symbolizes nazism.
>>
>>134012768
I think the same thing, the show has a shit ton of really well crafted character moments and interactions. It's kinda subtle and isn't directly really part of the mystery so I think people overlook that and think "wow nothing happened, they didn't even solve anything yet".

I work with two major things: one is Data Analytics and the other is Scientific simulations.

CUDA lets you harness GPUs - specifically newer Nvidia GPUs - which you normally use for drawing fancy graphics to do massively parallel computations. There's also OpenCL which works with AMD cards too.

GPUs are different from CPUs. CPUs excel in complex branching and serial operations. GPUs excel in doing many simple things at once. This is because their traditional graphics applications - such as rendering pixels - involves computing the value of each pixel individually and is done in parallel by simple, but multiple cores.

For instance, if you want to multiply two matrices, if you do it in a sequential fashion, it's a loss less efficient because you have to do one operation after the other. Instead, you could separate the processing into multiple threads (execution units), do each computation simultaneously in the many hundreds of GPU cores and it is much faster.

>>134013736
>>134014125
'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Red Magic, is in fact, GNU/Red Magic, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Red Magic. Red Magic is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called “Red Magic”, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project. There really is a Red Magic, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use.
Red Magic is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine’s resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Red Magic is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Red Magic added, or GNU/Red Magic. All the so-called “Red Magic” distributions are really distributions of GNU/Red Magic.

Bitcoin is nice but nowadays that seems to be done on chips designed for it rather than GPUs, from what I've seen GPUs don't even have a place in cryptocurrency these days. I also don't know much about quantum physics, but are there any projected applications for the results that preforming quantum state simulations provides?
>>
>>134028059
Yeah, no one uses GPUs for cryptocurrency. ASICs exist that are more efficient. However, fast hashing has other applications.

The difference between the two is that they're written by very different people, Natsuhiko Kyogoku is very passioned about Yokai and japanese folklore while Hiroshi Mori was a researcher and engineer before becoming a writer.

So far I enjoy the mystery aspect and the 50's setting of MnH better (Subete might get close if the final 3 episodes are great), but the characters (Moe,Saikawa and Shiki) and their development is really doing it for me.
