One of the little things that irks me is how little GiTS ever goes into the specifics of cyberization, instead leaving a lot of things to implication. Granted this also works out in the shows favor, but it can get annoying sometimes.
For instance, just how much are full body cyborgs like Batou and the Major supposed to weigh? They seem to be able to jump and land pretty deftly. Often times landing from a tremendous height without so much as an impact. Yet they're still tough enough to engage in heavy combat with mechanized tanks and such.

This seems to vary depending on the rule of cool, sometimes the major moves like an agile gymnasts, other times she lands on a rooftop and it'll dent, like in the market chase scene of the original movie 1995 movie.

We can make synthetic compunds right now that behave like muscles, but are also orders of magnitude stronger than the actual flesh and bone deal, so that really shouldn't let it bother you this much.

This is really what I was getting at. For a show that is usually super grounded when it comes to addressing geo-politics or police procedure, it gets slightly jarring when we fall back on 'cyborg magic' as convenient.
But this is really just a super minor complaint. The series are still some of the best out there.
