But it's true.

You can wish you would die without actively doing anything about it.
There's nothing in "wishing" that imply action.

It's pseudo-philosophical garbage.

Not wanting to live and acting upon it is the same thing as killing yourself

Nearly 100% of suicides are acts of passion. People with no will to live don't have any passion.

The only cases that aren't acts of passion are self-sacrifice.

>I don't want to Live so I'm going to starve myself
That's not losing the will to live, you just restated the desire to die in different words. Losing the will to live is more like

>it's not worth moving my body for anything, not even to eat
>I just want to lie here
Repeat until dead.

Actually, I take this back.

The statements could mean the same thing dependent on context, but there are two distinct states of manic/suicidal and depressive/neglectful and the two phrases could be taken as reference to those.

That's true and that's what happens to cancer patients. They don't want to die but can't find a reason to live anymore.

There's a lot of pseudo-intellectual/philosophical bullshit in monogatari, and anime in general, but this isn't really it. I'm sure everyone's had times where you think "why exactly do I even live" or "I should just stop trying" but that's completely different from "I want to go out of my way to end my life so that I never wake up". Of course, there's a very fine line here but you can get the gist pretty easily

She's just backing up her theory that Sodachi's mother never left the room.
Why didn't she kill herself in a direct way if she was suicidal? Because she wasn't suicidal, she had deadly apathy.

You want death.

I don't get your point because there is no point, that was just you being wanna-be-elitist cunt . If you think that there was a better translation post it and make your worthless posts less cancerous.

And even that doesn't change what kind of meaning the translation conveys, how it fits the context, and how that anon was being a fucking idiot with no reading comprehension.

>>

I didn't know Satan could be stupid on the subject of depression and suicide.

Losing the will to live is a passive statement. It doesn't directly imply ending your life. It leads to death from lack of nutrition/hydratation in most cases, because the person just doesn't care, not because he actually wants to die. The person just stops caring about life.
Wishing to die is direct and clear: you WANT to end your life and you will do it sooner than later. It's what leads to cutting your wrists, hanging yourself, jumping from a bridge, laying on a rail track, and so on.

It's actually both, but they were partially wrong. Washing her hair out is metaphorically looking from all her perspectives, not just from the more positive one she was looking at before. She knew of this possibility, but didn't want to consider it, Ougi wants Hanekawa to forcibly embrace hatred and the cold, harsh parts of herself for a specific reason. Shaft also represented the parts where she thought in three different positions with herself and her "sisters", Black Hanekawa and Kako, with those three shots for the three seconds.

Though it was also right that she needed to cool down her head for those 7 seconds.
>>
>>133995736
I still dont get how they come to these conclusions that are seemingly just random out of all the other possibilities
>>
>>133995971
not really, i havent really had will to live for a long time now, and i still have never taken action for suicide. Compared to someone who actually WANTS to die, they are more likely to take action.
>>
>>133998456
It's like you forgot that it was a closed room. There weren't "other possibilities". And even if you can made up some crazy theories, that's still the most consistent and logical one when you consider the context. The only ambiguos thing is that if oikura knew the solution from the start, and we all know what's the most obvious answer.

>>133998508
>i havent really had will to live for a long time now,

You are still shitpostong here, so you still have some will to live.
