WHO IS IT?
>>133990560
This unnecessary ambiguity as social media bait killed a perfectly good ending.
>>133990626
We tried to change the ending but it was too late

Isla 2.0
50% more genki and moe than before
>>133990718
You know what the show needed a lot more than a better ending? An actual goddamn explanation for the oddly specific lifespan.
>>133990763
I don't think I'd be able to take it.

Batteries for 400 alex.

No, that's not an explanation.
>place on auxiliary power while swapping out batteries
>good to go
The thing is, without an explanation the entire show is literally forced drama.

Cheer up Tsukasa.
You've only known first gen Isla for like what, six months?
You got a fresh 10 years(?) to steal her heart again.
Reminder
>>133991156
But would it have the old Isla's memories?
>>133990770
So they don't revolt.
>>133990770
Meh, the entire setting and episodes prior to Tsukasa confessing was just context for the ending. I much preferred it over some shitty illness gimmick like Shigatsu personally.
>>133991315
>but would it
>it
Not a chance, but that's the way it has to be.
We can only guess as to whether Isla's dying wish was for Tsukasa to woo her again.
Not that it would matter, but it would be romantic as fuck when Tsukasa reveals all of that to her.
>>133990560
Not Isla that much is certain.
>>133991156
Isla was Isla because of the 9 years of experience she accumulated before meeting Tsukasa.
Even if they reused the same chassis, that would not be Isla.
>>133990770
>An actual goddamn explanation for the oddly specific lifespan.
I thought it was explained? You haven't watch the show past the first couple of episodes?
This could have been Phsyco-Pass mk.II.
What happened, /a/?
>>133992391
Isla was Isla because of the 9 years of experience she accumulated before meeting Tsukasa.
Right.
She was originally a very nice and considerate person, and became depressed/jaded during the last three years of her life prior to meeting Tsukasa.
However, there's no definitive evidence as to whether she would friend-zone him immediately.
He has a shot at having a relationship with her nevertheless.

Why is pi 3.14159265.... and not 3? Or 7? Or 2.4234546?
>>133990718
I'll sign that!
>>133990560
It's completely irrelevant who it is though.
>>133992609
pi is a ratio.
>>133990560
Refurbished Isla.

So that people will continue to buy Giftias from the company that makes them. It's just simple planned obsolescence. Make a product that lasts forever, you only profit once. Make a product that breaks in 10 years, you profit multiple times.
>>133990770
Yeah, I find it hard to believe that they could create such incredible androids, but not a form of memory for them that would allow them to at least live a humans lifespan, surely they could just have a utility that runs periodically and removes less important memories from the storage or make external storage for extra memories that you can transfer things to. Hell, even cloud storage would work.
>>133990770
That's completely irrelevant. That's like saying Clannad needed an explanation of the metaphysical properties of the alternate world. It's just a plot device.
