Despite the CGI and the classic Gainax Ending, it's a pretty nice anime.
The girls are cute, the story gets interesting, episode 4 is amazing, and the incorporation of science is strange, but cool. It's not amazing or really representative of Gainax, but I think it's a decent send off, since this was basically their last anime besides Blue Uru which will eventually get made.
I know no one else thinks this, but it feels like the third -Buster sister since it's so rooted in science with a side of guts, although a lot less guts than the other two and there are no big bad aliens. Just the little sister of the other two, but a sister nonetheless trying her hardest.
Left me with a po-warm feeling.
Pleiades is a masterpiece.
