problem with the jogress debate is that Toei/Bandai SHOULD have given Veemon and Hawkmon more natural looking perfects that don't borrow elements from their jogress partner, in addition to their jogress perfect, so that way it wouldn't feel like a cop out if they evolve on their own. I can understand Imperialdramon being Veemon's natural Ultimate, but I can't accept Paildramon being Veemon's natural perfect, because he's LITERALLY designed to be a fusion with Stingmon. There are obvious elements of Stingmon in his design, so to say that Veemon can naturally become this on his own makes no fucking sense. The same is true about Hawkmon. Xros Wars is as legit a source as any other media. The only reason why the crossover shouldn't be taken into consideration is because bringing leveled digimon into a setting without levels is asking for troubles, as seen with how Ardhamon, a ultimate level equivalent hybrid, could barely hurt a belialvamdemon while wargreymon and dukemon soloed many of them with their attacks. And then Susanoomon, who is made out of ten ultimate level digimon, is barely on par with the ultimate modes of the other digimon despite X7 SM aside, it is the strongest digimon to date.

XW starts with a total blank slate on everything power wise. XW's Lucemon was a follower of Lillithmon whose Dead or Alive was a buncha fire balls. Compare to Frontier's whose Dead or Alive utilized light and darkness and who in his Child form was a threat to the Warrior Ten.
