I download episodes from KissAnime with subs already written into the video.
My friend records the shows on VCR tapes and I buy them for about 50 cents.
Torrent from nyaa, 720p horriblesubs for airing shows and 1080p best avalable sub or bd.

I streamterrestrial japanese TV channels and set up a ffmpeg script to automatically record the shows I want to watch, then download and sync up the .srt or .ass files from fansubbers seperately

A laptop is not nearly as comfortable for laying in bed.
I can twist and turn anyway I want with my phone without worrying about the laptop balance. I can hold the phone very close to my face which helps for reading subs and getting up close panty shots. Technically I can download anime and use my phone remotely to watch from my computer but I'm a lazy fuck.

Hardly because of their completely top level tactics never seen before in streaming sites to avoid copyright takedown. They have to go to such lengths because they offer something never really seen before in streaming in that:
- Better streaming quality than CR
- Way better variety in selection, infact just about everything including asian drama
- Downloads for bitrate fags
- All for free with unobtrusive ads
Not to mention how they do much the same for Funimation. Kissanime was taken down apparently a little bit back because of how huge a target they are. Once kiss is ded there is absolutely no reason to stream however.

How do you download episodes or entire series from Kissanime? There's some shit I want to put on my external HDD that don't exist or have no seeders on torrent sites, so I'd love to do this instead.
I have a PLEX server that I put my movies, shows, and anime on. Some of it is DVDs that I ripped, some are torrented.
I just wish the anime cataloging was better for PLEX, I have to constantly go in and fix crap with it that I do not have to do on US shows.
