There was that lead heroine in Gatekeepers whose yell was pretty characteristic and I kind of liked her. I would then learn that she would be Mahoro and that I had to watch that. Ending be damned, every moment she was speaking was worth the time. Then I joined /a/ and noticed she would be in every anime every season until about 2009.

Sawashiro is really the only Seiyuu I care A LOT about. Others I like are Hayami Saori and Kamiya but no one will ever reach the level of Sawashiro for me.

Playing through Tales games, which feature voice acting heavily sparked my initial interest in seiyuu.
SRW helped too, specially when it comes to older voice actors.

Besides the talent/personality aspect, it's mostly about the seiyuu being genuinely mindful towards her fans and engaging them.
It's what made people like Yukarin, Nana and Hocchan so popular back in their heyday and their popularity so long-lasting.

Since Ikaros, i start to care with Hayamin and good thing she mostly voiced best girls. Yukino has been her iconic role so far though she is great as other characters too, she really proves herself in Inoubattle and Yamada-kun. My recent favorite role of her is smug-chan from Owari no Seraph
I'm still watching Noragami for 2 reasons: Bones quality and it features the voice of Hiroshi Kamiya a.k.a. RRRG/Angelbeatsman/Despairman

I've always liked her voice, but it wasn't until I heard her voice Levi from Trinity Seven that I truly fell in love with it. That being said, the most powerful scene she's voiced for me was definitely the train scene for OreGaIru. All the emotions in her voice for that scene was really great.

I think different people value different things, but I really like how funny and energetic she is even though she says she's pretty quiet when she's alone. Also her sense of humour is brilliant and I've enjoyed all the events and radios with her in it. I guess for me, it comes down to how fun the seiyuu would be to hang out with.
