It looks so fucking bad. Even assuming it is the single best-written masterpiece in the storied history of anime (which is unlikely), its super low quality artwork is disgusting on the eyes.
I'm watching DBZ for the first time at the moment, and it looks so nice. And the movies look insane. I just can't imagine sullying my memories of this show by watching something that looks like flash animation at best and Deviantart at worst.
So what's the appeal? Do you just forgive the artwork and shitty animation, or do you honestly not notice it?

point is, Dragon Ball in animated form has always, and will always look like shit. They kinda got away with it in the original Dragon Ball, before they got lazy, especially since the series was wacky and disjointed enough that nobody would really give a fuck about poor production and sloppy animation. Dragon Ball Z always looked like shit. Dragon Ball GT always looked like shit. And Dragon Ball Super, if the first 20 episodes are any indicator, will also always look like shit

face it, DBZ looked like crap more often than not. sure, it had some pretty looking episodes, but what is, say, 30 good looking episodes out of 200+ total episodes?
