Just wait untill you get to around ep 16, and the final episode is one of the most memorable fights of any anime.

It picks up once Legato shows up, because the two chicks stop being so relevant and Wolfwood joins the party sooner or later.
Didn't age that well though, dub is atrocious and the ed is painful. The main villian is also a complete fucking shit, and Legato is easily better.
I regretted wasting my time with it. Not my cup of tea.
