My top 3 are probably 0079, Turn A and with Victory and Zeta tied for third place. The other ones I really liked were Gundam X,G-Reco, and Fighter G.

That's not to say the others are bad, I don't think any Gundam series is completely bad (though I only haven't and probably will never watch SEED because of how badly it is received), they all have their own things they do better than others, and I liked all of them.

Greco rewards people who are intelligent enough ito understand it. It doesn't make it easy to follow because it's not for the average anime fan who need everything fucking explained to them like they're goddamn children.
And that's why it's the probably the best anime in the past 20-30 years, hands down. It's the first real mecha for intellectuals since LoGH...though honestly, I think it might surpass even that.

I could see it as being on either side honestly, maybe tending before, despite what Tomino says--I have a sneaking suspicion he did that just to troll Sunrise.
I mean G-Lucifer has a working Moonlight Butterfly, correct? Perhaps it's a prototype for Turn-A/X. Or perhaps it's a holdover from the Turn-A? I mean we still have ICBMs despite not having used a nuke in a war in 70 years.
Personally, I think it actually makes a bit more sense before Turn-A because of the myriad UC references in G-Reco, and I feel as if they'd be less likely to show up in a post Dark History era, but ultimately Horse's Mouth > anyone's headcanon.
