Most single season shows don't ask for an additional season. They're not written that way. Their stories say what needed to be said in exactly the space needed to say it. I think C3 Bu is one of these. To continue risks compromising that integrity. Some anime spin off new questions about their worlds, maybe even unintentionally. Sora no Woto was like this, or Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuri de Aru, and yes, Madoka too. But something like Denpa Ona no Seishun Otako for instance are inherently limited by their intent to conjure something ephemeral, beyond the reach of linear plotting. Single season shows are like that. Or their conceits are too central and yet too preposterous to withstand the weight of scrutiny more seasons demand. Upotte is like this, even Girls Und Panzar, bordered on this.
Your standards are pretty low if you call this a masterpiece just because art is nice.
I'd watch a full season of this, but they have to lose those spastic budget CGI dance sequences. The characters are interesting otherwise, and with the setting and plot achieve a surprising level of gravitas considering it being done on a shoestring by newcomers.
