You know, in terms of what most people would call slow, Haibane Renmei. But really, the big final fight with Aizen in Bleach probably had the largest number of episodes with the lowest progression of anything I've seen. So Haibane Renmei in a good way, Bleach in a bad way.

Hunter X Hunter Chimera Ant arc. As if it wasn't bad enough having everyone crying and jobbing all over the place with stupid nen powers and having discount Cell being such a disappointment. And don't get me started on that fucking narrator. And yes, I read the manga. The anime somewhat cut down the horrid pacing. It's still pretty bad though. Why people hail that shit as a "masterpiece" is a mystery to me.
