Has an anime ever had an impact on your life /a/? Your Lie In April made me sell my old Korg keyboard I used when I was 13 and by a digital grand piano, and start taking up piano lessons again. I'm at about six months of lessons now and have seen a huge improvement, also saving to buy a baby grand that I can put in my spare room.

Tatami Galaxy literally made me stop being a 'go-home-right-after-classes-end' kind of guy and actually stick around, which leads to me joining orgs, committees and meetups that hopefully will make my CV not so empty.

There's few people who live lives as exciting as anime and those that do usually die pretty quickly.
If you want adventure I suggest getting as much money together as you can and hitchiking through the country, taking whatever car takes you and going wherever they go. I did it as a spur of the moment thing when I was 21 for a month and it was a lot of fun. Of course you have to have good people skills to do it, if you don't you'll come across as a serial killer or some shit.

The music is great and there are many good small scenes but overall it really sucked. A shame, especially since it wouldn't have been that hard to adapt the novels properly.
I realized things will never get better no matter how much artificial moral value you get from watching media and stopped trying to read too deeply into anything and attach a personal meaning to it as if some grand revelation will turn me into a better human being.

Seriously, as someone who played the piano at a young age but stopped at 13 because my older brother and father used to hate my playing and discourage it I never related more with another artwork. I felt the exact same heartbreak and trauma Kousei did in every episode. I'm 20 now and picking the piano up again for the first time in seven years because of it. I feel like I've missed out on so much because of it, like I could've been so wonderful now if I had kept at it, but now it's like I'm almost a beginner again, though after these lessons I feel a bit better. Shit sux man.
