The 3d models are surprisingly good. Cumaru is the bigfest semen demon yet. Toko got development. Nagito is smug in it.
But the game suffers from a boring cast. It thinks handwaving that the kids had a bad past is enough to make us give a shit about them when it isn't. It also assumes you'll give a shit about the adults which it treats as fodder all game long. Monaka is the only one that was sorta interestibg and even then she neutered haiji's character. Overall it was way too episodic for everyone except toko and cumaru.
The gameplay is mediocre. Aiming has never been practical on handhelds and this game is not helping that. The "puzzles" are also really easy and their enjoyment hindered by the cumbersome controls. And mostly, it tries to expand on the world which has alwasy be the weakest link in DR. DR's strong suit has always come from the casts, the world is the shakiest part of the setting and simply not very good.
