Narutu and Bleachfags should stop fighting because One Piece is the best out of all 3.
The manga is a mixed bag, and the same goes for the anime. The latter however, has given some incredible showcases of action animation, with Norio Matsumoto's work on the series being not only his magnum opus but also an example of one of the best action animation ever. I also like how the anime helped nurture the talents of some young action animators. So based on this bright spot in the anime's run, I'd say I'll look back upon this series with some fondness.

The whole Kaguya fight is terrible not just because it feels like it comes out of nowhere. It's badly done because in this series called Naruto, Naruto himself seems more like a side character. Seriously, reread the fight. Aside from the Reverse Harem Jutsu, which doesn't even work, Naruto doesn't get any focus. Instead it's about Kakashi and Coolest Guy. Kakashi may be the best character, but in this huge climactic battle for the fate of the whole world, the focus should have been on our hero and his struggle.
The scale of the threat is bad too. It doesn't ever feel like Kaguya could kill them at any time and our heroes are desperately struggling for their lives, like it did with Madara. She's just kind of hanging out, teleporting, and shooting bones the entire time, which might have been a cool power an arc or two ago, but when you have shit like Obito casually launching nukes into the shinobi alliance, bone bullets don't feel like a threat that is so massive only absolutely perfect teamwork will overcome it, even if they do disintegrate on contact.
The last bit of teamwork was really contrived, too. Kakashi got a bullshit powerup (which I liked even though it's ridiculous nonsense) that basically made him immune to Kaguya and also gave him a super effective attack against her and while Naruto and Sasuke were good with their usual bait and switch tactics, Sakura is just brought in because muh team 7 and does something any Naruto clone could have done. Then Kaguya, who has the all-seeing Byakugan, manages to get suckerpunched and not even in the Byakugan's blindspot. It's like she just suddenly forgot that there were enemies around her. How are we supposed to take a villain seriously when she just casually forgets to use her powers?

But the focus on the last fight WAS on Naruto. Naruto vs. Sasuke. It showed the length he had come since this time he was able to convince Sasuke. In the first one he failed, in the second one he succeeded. Literally everything that happened between their first fight and the second was just character development for both of them, no matter how shitty it was implemented. It showed two very similar characters who went down difference paths, and how either one could've ended up like the other with right circumstances. That was the series, those two fights, those two characters

I know Naruto vs. Sasuke's focus was on Naruto (though honestly it was more on Sasuke), but Team 7 vs. Kaguya wasn't. Kaguya herself wasn't even the focus, despite being the main threat. Recently I've been rewatching all of naruto because some guy edited all the content to match manga content volumes, and desu it's really not as bad as people make it out.
One thing I do notice is that Naruto is shounen that really does rely on the feel factor in every arc.

Part of me thinks that Kaguya was actually trying to lose on purpose so that the Shinju could be sealed again, but she had to act like she wanted to win in order to avoid arousing suspicion from both it and Black Zetsu.

Naruto/Hinata, Sasuke/Sakura, and the InoShikaChou couples are the only ones who fucked within the same year. Naruto and Hinata were first and I imagine Sasuke didn't want to lose to Naruto. Ino didn't want to lose to Sakura and the other members of the InoShikaChou are basically contractually obliged to have kids at around the same time, so Chouji and Shikamaru got busy. Then Orochimaru saw that his precious Sasuke-kun was having a baby so he decided then was a good time for a science baby.

Thinking back on it, the parts I really enjoyed were up to the end of the chuunin exam and then the invasion arc culminating in the Gaara/Naruto fight. After that, Sasuke turned from a likable if grumpy 2nd lead into his "muh revenge" mode and dragged the series down with him. The stuff after the timeskip had its moments but was drowned out by stuff that left a bad aftertaste. Bad character usage/development decisions and story turns that left me wondering whether Kishimoto is even giving a fuck anymore made it turned my enthusiasm into ambivalence.
In retrospect, the series would probably have turned out better if Sasuke had stayed with the village and the rivalry had been built upon, eliminating all the darkness shit we had to sit through, or at least put it into an actual character arc, with actual ties to other characters, instead of cameos that just showed how became more of an standoffish ass over the years. Would also have lent itself to a better display of friendship between Sasuke and Naruto, instead of that inane fixation Naruto had in the actual manga.
