Lunatec dragon is complete ass. All it does is give you another 10k guard worth of power AT MAX and that's with a good setup. Vanguard lores are GOAT, you should try reading them. Ok so:
Timeline 1: Shadow Paladin rebel under the command of Phantom Blaster Dragon. Blaster Blade becomes Exculpate the Blaster to end the war. Overlord wants power to be equal to them and become The End but defeated by PBO and fell into a long coma.
Then sometime later Aqua Force woke up and seals the three leader. Since DO is still in a coma he can't fight it and Kagero falls into disarray. In its place Narukami clan stood up and led by Dragonic Vermillion which later becomes The Blood but still defeated by Glory Maelstrom and didn't do much.
After that comes the Link Joker. They invade cray and wants to brainwash strong cards into "reverse' or by changing them like Blaster Blade to Blaster Joker. They sent a team to open the DO casket and woke him up as a reverse but since DO is too badass when he woke up he burned all of them and stole the power and turned it into its own and become The Rebirth. After the second invasion war he gets rid of the power of reverse/rebirth and goes back to its true form but even stronger than before which is The X.
This is where it gets complicated. When they transformed BB into Blaster Joker and then lost him and Glendios in the second invasion war, Garnet Star Dragon went back in time to kidnap Blaster Blade and in doing so screwing up the timeline.
Timeline 2: OTT clan who can see the future tells BB that he will face great danger (Garnet Star Dragon), this forces him to consult Alfred to create the Seekers squad to prepare for the future. Alfred agreed and then Zenon the time mage send Sing Saver from the distant past to help the Seekers. Sing Saver lost the battle and Blaster Blade is gone, changing things. Since DO never met his rival he evolves using his own power and doesn't tap the power of The End and in doing so he became The Great through his own effort.

The Ace and Revival Legion only happen because of the Stride incident. It's the incident that forces Gear Chronicle to interfere with real world and allowing Generation Stride to be performed. The End is the first card to receive Revival Legion and thx to time travel mumbo jumbo from the gap created by Stride, The X can call The End and fight together with him. The Ace is just future possibility of either DO that they can transform to for a limited time just like the card game.
