>What was he going to ask her? Just as she reached the divide between a desire to leave and a desire to stay, her mind focused on the half-dragon.
>“Do you have a little brother or a little sister!?”

>Masazumi saw Narumi’s mobile shell fall over as if its knees had given out.
>…Oh, that was a nice reaction. Was that so incomprehensible that even the mobile shell fell over?

The courtship begins. Weekend thread.

Fucking finally I was thinking Js06 was dead because we didn't get a thread for like 2 weeks.

I know he's translating that shitty new volume of Index, what a fucking boring piece of shit
>>

He finished translating it like a week ago.
Also fuck you
>>
>>133800094
He finished that volume two days ago.

Also, we had threads one wee ago.

>>

>>

I feel that most of the Kawakami infodumps are well integrated inside the story so they feel organic.

>Has someone like Js06 translating his favorite LN
>Complains
What a fucking piece of shit you are.
>>
>>133800518
But they aren't villains. One of the things that Kawakami pulls off well is creating reasonable characters that just happen to be on the opposing side.

So Urquiaga is going to Date, I assume since I never read js06's summaries. Who would make sense to send to Sviet Rus and Mogami besides whoever they actually end up sending.

I finished Hong kong

Ongoing Osaka

>What is reading comprehension
Hello there ESL-kun, seems like you need to learn english because I never complain against Js06, just against Index you massive retard.
>>
>>133802573
I have great hopes for Osaka given how similar it seems to Horizon, even though it's just mysteries upon mysteries thus far. I just hope the first volume isn't as boring as Hong Kong A.
>>
>>133802573
I know someone around here didn't like Hong Kong, but I really did. It was the first City that felt like a pure Kawakami story and I really enjoyed that.
>>
>>133802973
I enjoyed Hong Kong A. Tuning and Busting were fun and how the whole heaven plan was escalating was interesting.
>>
>>133802737
You don't get what I mean. Js06 translates fast, well and updates regularly. And yet you are complaining about him translating Index because of a mere two weeks or less without updates
>>

Aye, wating two weeks for translations is fucking nothing when you read stuff like Rakuin or Alderamin.

Where exactly do I start reading this? Should I start reading Owari? Or is this just purely untranslated stuff recently getting translated confusion I am having?
>>
>>133821944
You can start with whichever you want the stories take place in the same universe but separated hundreds to thousands of years.
>>
>>133821944
If you want a series that is completed then start with Owari.
If you're more interested in Horizon from the anime then it is best to start at the beginning of Horizon to get more info, or pick up at vol 3.
If you want to read Kawakami's works in order then start with CITY.
>>
>>133821944
Owari is fully translated, Horizon's translation is at the fourth arc and the same goes for City Series.

You can start with any of them because even if they are in the same universe they are standalone. If only, some stuff in City and Owari relate to stuff in Horizon so it could help to get parts of the setting better, but you can go the order you want.

While I agree with most of anons about reading this in the order you want, you need to keep in mid the order of the story, so I suggest you to read this in this order.

1) Forth (you can't read it and probably the only guy who read that is Js06).
2) Owari no Chronicle, this is the start of everything in Kawakami's world, read this first, also is fully translated.
3) Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon, for obvious reasons, is the following story of OnC.
4) Hexennacht - OBSTACLE
5) CITY Series, since is the end of Kawakami's world

If you read this in a different order you're going to get a mayor confusion about the buckets on information here.
>>
>>133850395
CITY is standalone enough that you don't need to read it after the others. It was written first, after all.
>>
>>133850395
What's the series Forth about?

I've found a page for the series on Light Novel Database but that didn't have a summary.
>>
>>133851265
To know that we need to summon Js06 but I think he's MIA right now.

Ever since the City World came to be, many different worlds have existed and been destroyed. However, it has been mostly proven what kind of world it was based on.
That world is tentatively known as the Foundation World.
As the name suggests, the Foundation World acted as the foundation of the current world and it is thought to have had a similar flow of history. The Foundation World is broadly divided into four eras:
-Forth
-Ahead
-Edge
-Genesis
These four eras are connected, but the Foundation World was destroyed at the end of the Genesis World.
After the Foundation World’s destruction, the world was experimentally recreated and destroyed again and again in search of a world that would not be destroyed.
This significant wandering era was a great obstacle to the world, so it is known as:
-Obstacle
During this great obstacle era, either the world got tired of being destroyed or there was some other reason because a world made not to be destroyed was finally created.
And that is the City World that we live in.
It is known as:
-City
Now, let us look briefly over those six worlds.

2. Forth
The pre-hope era.
This was the calmest era of the Foundation World. There were plenty of wars, but it was peaceful on the macro level and the only crises were on a regional scale.
It had little individuality, but it was likely an era focused on personal points of view.

Same time.
Hexennacht is being serialized in a magazine before it basically gets a tank release.
Magazine is bi-monthly and there were 4 chapters needed for one book which came out 2 months after (chapter break in the magazine).
Basically, one book every 10 months.
>>
>>133856051
He is writing Horizon, Horizon Side Stories and Hexen at the same time.
>>
>>133855900
Thanks, I miss her.
Why are automatons so amazing in general? Too bad they can't fuck, this suffering
>>
Not sure if this is the best place to ask, but is there a pdf of the Hexennacht vol 1 translation?
>>
>>133856655
Not yet
>>
>>133856655
There is some side material at the end that is still untranslated.
>>
>>133856562
I wouldn't be so sure of that.
>>
>>133858230
Well they're robots without even any emotions, why would they have what's needed for it?
Even them being super cute with big tits is far fetched
>>
>>133858723
Not all of then are emotionless. There are ones with human souls. Horizon is a special case because she was very automaton-like from the very start and she lacks emotions.
>>
>>133858723
Automatons live to "serve".

Think about it.
>>
>>133858848
Oh yeah, like Noriki's waifu? I sure hope for him she has what it takes

>>133858860
Welp
>>
>>133858723
>>133858848
>>133858939
Not only that, but automatons that have been active for a long time learn how to understand and simulate emotions, like Musashi and Kazuno.
>>
>>133859006
Kazuno had a soul though. But it's also true that Musashi indeed has emotions even if she is a souless model.
>>
>>133844355
There was something about Noriki and Ujinao in the last two arcs?

End of v6
>>
>>133853969
Manga art is pretty bad, if you ask me. Still, I prefer pics to walls of text.
>>
Seriously, what goes on in Kawakami's head all the time? How can he write the most ridiculous shit and still be good?

Is a genius that will be talked about in the centuries to come?
>>
>>133861031
That's the start of v7 actually, I was asking if there was something more about the after that.
>>
>>133861252
He likes to take attention to details and thought about all of this since he was in high school.

He also never gets one hundred percent serious with what he writes and likes to have fun.

And sadly no, Kawakami stories aren't something that can be enjoyed by a mainstream audience I think. They need a bit on your part, but I think that's what it makes then so engrossing to some people too.
>>
>>133862254
Yeah, I quite agree. Even with what he writes, he doesn't come across as pretentious and is obviously having fun writing what he writes with the practice he got during the last 20 years. And if you get into it you can help but to feel the same.
>>
>>133855889
Kinda.
>>
>>133855889
Pretty close. Enough that if you liked Sayama as the MC you'll almost certainly like Kagami.
>>
>>133864341
Is she as perverted as him?
>>
OnC Vol 7 EPUB is still on the way?
>>
>>133865133
Not so far, no. She hasn't really been given the opportunity to try yet though.
>>
>>133865255
We've had it for a while. Check the baka-tsuki page more often.

>>133865346
I'm waiting to Christmas to read it for maximum effect.
>>
>>133865346
>its not in my mediafire
You had one job.
>>
>>133860727
Ujinao had apparently moved in with him a while back, but he hadn't bothered telling anyone until Vol. 8.

>>133858860
You joke, but Paris provides a history of automatons which says the City era origin for automatons being beautiful and female dates back to the prostitute automatons developed in Persia during (the City era's version of ) the 11th century.
>>
>>133866130
So Ujinao is in Musashi? She is still a student or after her name inheritance history ended she is just a civilian now?
>>
>>133866130
And another case of >>133800518 "Justified reason for anime trope" was born.
>>
>>133866130
>prostitute automatons are the origin of automatons being female
They have their priorities right
>>
>>133866566
Just think, we are nearly entering these times.
>>
>>133865954
>its not in my mediafire
Isn't that your fault?
>>
>>133866895
Bitches mediafire is kind of a staple of this threads and everyone can upload things on it I think.
>>
>>133867145
I didn't know you could do that on mediafire.

The manga art is good for action and mechs but subpar in character designs.
>>
I like this thread, it would be nice if it survives the euronight again.
>>
>>133866130
>>133866566
Well, something similar could be said about 3rd Gear's automatons in the original world too.
>>
So reading Hong Kong, why exactly Double Lee killed J-Gun?
>>
Just took a peek at Girls Talk 2's afterword and Kawakami says Hexennacht 2 will most likely be released before Horizon 9.
>>
>>133870090
How is he going to do that? Did he get more pages in the magazine? Or a hint towards EDGE.
>>
>>133872000
Horizon 9 might not be until later in 2016.
