When it's a non-trivial effect, Touma usually has to punch the center of the spell to really destroy it, which is why he couldn't pop the cram school tower or the ice fleet by just poking the side.
So he might have to punch the grail, not just punch Gil.

Are Gil's swords real swords with magic on them or are they entirely made of magic? If they are real swords with magic in them, Touma would likely die UNLESS he is able to dodge everything and negate Gil or the swords miss killing him and just cut off his arm
