Why do most shounens name their episodes with a short summary of that episode?

If I know what's going to happen in that episode then what the fuck is even the point of watching it.

I picked up Dragon Ball Super and this shit really fucking pisses me off.

I don't but this is what I come across with most of the time while looking for something and it spoils me.

Are Japanese people mentally retarded or something I just don't get it.

>The title of the episode describes what happens at the end of the episode

Super did this for a few episodes near the end of the Beerus arc and it was really stupid. It would've actually made more sense for them to be the titles of the next episode.

They figured that most of the people have already watched the movie
So it makes sense
What doesn't make sense is why the fuck are they re adapting the movies

A long summary title would take to much time to read and cut even further into the already long repetition of the last episodes.

Because every long-running Shounen is a weekly, 20 minute advertisement

But you've already read the manga so it doesn't matter.

The point is actually pretty simple and obvious. When a show is very long and you are looking for a specific episode, you can either spend a lot of time reading episode summaries, or spend much less time reading episode titles.
