Fact is, Blame! doesn't really have hype, "muh power of friendship" scenes. Fights always look fast, "clean" and essentials. No frills or show of technique. Just aseptic killing.
I hope they keep this mood, but I'm starting to think that they are gonna destroy it in favour of a more, pass me the term, "shounen-ish" mood.
I mean, a preview/teaser that would have me hyped would have been something more like:

I've read Sidonia too, because I still wanted to give a chance since "Nihei".
It wasn't even remotely on par with his earlier work, but beside that it was clear from chapter 30-something that those two were going to be together.

I still like Sidonia a lot. It always seemed to me that people didn't like it because he tried something different.
My only real issues with it are that he started shoving Tsumugi everywhere, Yuhata's final twist which was simply retarded, and all the issues left hanging (Shou's chapter left so many unused possibilities).
But the comedy was great and most characters too.

No. Fuck this shit. Other than that, the ending makes most of the story before it pointless. So many questions were asked, so many hints and development that could have lead to interesting topics and themes, all wasted.

This is from an episode of Sidonia, so it matches the Sidonia art style. Likely made before the Blame! anime even got the OK. Has there been any confirmation that this is an actual trailer for that, or are you just assuming so?
Regardless, I think CG is a terrible idea for this. I don't mind 3D in itself, but it's nigh impossible to make it gritty enough.
