Nanoha really only refers to the first two TVA though, StrikerS was okay but not as good as Madoka or Tutu and Vivid didn't really do much for me.

If you're talking about the accessories and toys they sell for each series there is no way around that. Precure and plastic wands go hand in hand just like gundam and plamo.
But the metaseries as a whole is pretty good. Even if you don't like most of them there is bound to be at least one that hooks you. Also, even if some purists might tell you to start with Futari wa each season (except YPC5GG and Max heart) is completely self contained so you can really start anywhere.

Fresh is also pretty good. It's the first of what some consider to be the "modern precure".

I can agree that pleiades didn't save the mahou shoujo genre simply because i don't think it really had much of an impact, it wasn't extremely popular, didn't sell well and i'd argue that mahou shoujo didn't need saving in the first place.
But it was very good.

Madoka is better than any of the other post-2000's late night MS anime - Nanoha, Yuyuyu, etc.
But I'm in the first few episodes of CCS, and man, I love it way more in different ways. It's comfy and feels like saturday morning cartoon, but it's well animated and has lots of great fights and designs. Sakura is cute and the characters are all likable.

I've only finished CCS and Madoka, and CCS is better. I'm finding it hard to continue watching Tutu though. 3 episodes in and it feels rather dull. Are people who like and recommend it the same as those who liked Utena? Because they feel similar to me.

Princess Tutu. I loved the characters and atmosphere, and it was just really magical overall. It's a personal favourite of mine.
Madoka is my least favourite because I really didn't care about any of the characters, and some of it felt a bit contrived to me. Grim dark mahou shoujo with wide face also doesn't do it for me, personally. It was still alright though.

Pleiades definitely wasn't bad, it was enjoyable show. Still, I expected more, the ONA was great.
Princess Tutu is my favorite because I loved what it did with its concept and the metanarrative aspect and the direction it went in was so good. But I don't know if it's fair to compare it to CCS which is probably the most perfectly executed straight mahou shoujo. I would also say the CCS has a stronger start than Princess Tutu and is more consistent while Princess Tutu picks up as it goes along, but overall I think I got more from Princess Tutu. They're both excellent though, and I consider them among my favorites. Madoka was underwhelming for me, I didn't care about the characters at all and it felt like it spent a disproportionate amount of time on Sayaka which didn't really go anywhere comparatively important. I also felt that Homura's backstory could be seen coming a mile away and was pretty dumb and poorly executed. Not much of a fan.
Madoka > CCS > Tutu.
I like them all though. Also, Sayaka is best.

In the context of Mahou Shoujo, it will be remembered, as in, people on /a/ will bring it up when there are threads dedicated to Mahou Shoujo.
If you mean as an anime, as in the anime will be talked about in general, it's a bit more difficult to say. It depends on how anime will evolve in the future. If anime dies, it will be remembered as a classic. If anime goes full 3D, it may be seen as dated, but people who are able to deal with hand drawn animation will consider it a classic. If anime keeps going as it is now, it will lose relevancy, but will be remembered as an anime that used to be a big deal, and that will keep its spot in the recommendation charts, similar to how Haruhi and Slayers are now. If writing in anime gets better, it may be seen as something outdated from the dark age of anime, and will pretty much only be mentioned in threads about forgotten anime.
