I think Oda mentioned that he introduced Crocodile too early. I feel the same way as well. The way he was going around Marineford and clashing with the likes of Mihawk, Doflamingo and even Akainu at one point shows that he's pretty strong.
I think the a reasonable explanation of his loss is that he spent so many years letting his agents do the dirty work while he sat back and played hero. He got comfortable and overconfident. And to be fair, he did "kill" Luffy three times.

Buggy can't defeat Mihawk because Mihawk is genuinely powerful beyond his ability to be a "good swordsman". Mihawk's skills require strength, discipline and training that otherwise improve and maintain his own immense power beyond just "cutting good".

I might be the odd man out or maybe this opinion is more popular than I think (I don't pay attention to a lot of shipping in one piece) but:
Usopp & Nami.
I could see them hooking up and fucking after all this is over.
I could also equally see them as just platonically shacking up or something- they seem to have this discreet but really casual closeness with one another that I could just as easily mistake for sibling love.
Like, it's easy to miss, but Usopp is always the one getting the most physical affection from Nami and I could see that developing into something substancial or just staying platonic.
Either way I love seeing them together.
