There's been a significant amount of CG in this show, it's just that the staff actually cares and puts in the effort required to make it mesh with the rest of the frames. A lot of the action between Saitama and Genos was CG, as was Metal Knight for the most part. Genos is Blast. But he doesn't know it.
He was the one who destroyed his town and subsequently killed his family (for reasons still unknown.) When Dr. Stench, a lowly C-Class hero just making ends meet witnessed Genos' great power, he saw an opportunity he could not refuse. He tricked the child in some way and turned him into a cyborg and altered his memories (which, in the Doctor's defense, was considerate on Genos' part as his power is much too destructive for mankind. Taking his body away from him was beneficial in more ways than one.)
Ever since the Hero Association witnessed this great power, Dr. Stench took responsibility and was immediately promoted to S-Class Rank 1. This is why he has so much money and is able to give Genos so much to spare (see the $100,000 rent money Genos gave Saitama.) Being the highest rank in S-Class means he is granted the highest sum of the donation money.
In the upcoming MK arc, it is inevitable Genos will ask Dr. Stench about getting his body back. And I have a feeling Dr. Stench is going to panic and do/say whatever he can to divert Genos' curiosity. He's going to look suspicious as fuck when it's revealed he's really Blast and has no concrete basis to back it up, without coming clean.
As for Engine Knight pinning the blame on Bofoy? I think it's a ruse. EK and Bofoy probably have their own dirty history, but given they're both heroes they can't exactly fight each other, at least in the public eye. So word gets out Genos is looking for a "Cyborg," and EK sees this as the perfect opportunity to throw some shit on MK's doorway.
Genus is being kept in the story line for a specific reason. He is known for his great advancements in genetics. He is known to clone individuals and completely reverse the aging process. Since Dr. Stench will inevitably deny Genos' request to gain his body back, (again, not only for his own safety but for the safety of humanity,) this is the person Genos will go to. And that's when shit gets real.

On the off chance this isn't bait, yes. ONE is the original author of the series. Murata loved the series so much he gave up his job with Shonen Jump to start a redraw of ONE's work and get it published. Then the combination of the two (ONE's story and Murata's art) is what became the anime.
ONE's story is about twice as far as Murata's redraw. I highly encourage anyone who isn't already doing so to just go ahead and read/watch all of it. It's like getting the same Christmas present three times and being just as happy about it each and every time.
